Wapello County, Iowa

Wapello County is located in southeast Iowa. It is named for Chief Wapello, a Native American Chief in the area.

The seat and largest city is Ottumwa. It borders Mahaska, Keokuk, Jefferson, Davis and Monroe Counties.

Main Highways include US-34, US-63, IA-163, IA-16 and IA-149.
